The app runs, but the application is *still* not integrated into Reaper under any of the FX folders. So, I install the software suite into C:\VST-32. > Magix Independence Pro software suite 3.1 (Yes I did download the FREE product) I have set up the folders under preferences>plugins>vstįirst, I went to install 'independence_softwaresuite_31_dlm' I went to 'custom install', which reveals two exe files: It is still not integrated into Reaper.įor clarity, I have downloaded and extracted: I am following your suggestions, however, I am not getting anywhere. If you can't select instruments, copy the "*.ytil" files there.ĭon't get confused by the "libraries" folder that is also there! The sounds should be in the "images" folder.Īs I said, a absolute nightmare, and after several installations of this VST I wrote everything down, to be able to reproduce it again without getting confused by the wording. The instruments in IndFree are called " Layers" with the extension "yt il" ( Instrument Layer) and should be in the - guess what - "layers" folder. If not, click on "click here to load." again and try "rebuild menu". Next thing to check: can you select instruments in IndFree on "click here to load instrument"? If yes, lucky you! If not, click "add library", BUT don't forget to save the preferences (right bottom)! Go in "Independence Free" to "Preferences=>Libraries" and check, if this folder is available there. Search this folder and copy the *.ytif "soundfiles" to this "image files" folder. " ytif" stands for " Yellow Tools Image File" and all parts have to be unpacked to the folder " wherever the folder is\Magix\Independence\ image files". IIRC, the download of the free library comes as zip or rar so you have to unzip the DL to get the "*.ytif" files. The "IndependenceFree Content 01.ytif" is the first part of the free library that consists of 8 parts. Installing Independence Free is a nightmare.
